Meet Ken
Kenneth J. Chester Jr. is President and CEO of TechMobility Productions, Inc., a minority-owned multimedia company based in Altoona, Iowa. Ken is a seasoned automotive journalist, a successful entrepreneur, and a passionate advocate for representation and diversity in the automotive industry.
Ken's career spans nearly three decades, during which he has established himself as a nationally syndicated automotive journalist. His expertise in the field is well recognized, and he has made regular appearances in newspapers, on TV, on radio, and on podcasts. Ken's friendly demeanor and extensive knowledge of current trends, technology, and upcoming vehicles make him a relatable figure in today's complex automotive marketplace.
Ken is a founding member of the Black Automotive Media Group (BAMG). The group, which represents over 150 years of automotive journalistic experience, actively engages with the automotive industry to address issues affecting black automotive journalists and black-owned media companies. These issues include a lack of representation at press events, insufficient marketing and advertising support for various media outlets, and a lack of black individuals in automotive corporate and advertising agency positions.
In 2026, Ken became a published author with Two-Hour Entrepreneur: Build a Real Business in Two Hours a Week — a step-by-step system drawn from his 35 years of building companies from scratch, most of them while holding down a full-time job. The book distills the lessons from ventures such as The AutoBuyer Plus Corporation and Motor News Media Corporation into a practical method for aspiring entrepreneurs already at capacity.
